With years of experience serving on the Board of Directors of the Southern Oregon Rental Owners Association, Stout Law’s attorneys are well versed in the intricacies of landlord-tenant law.

In addition to his past service on the board of the rental owners, Michael Stout has been selected to work on numerous committees at the statewide level, which include (a) a committee tasked with advising the Chief Justice on Covid-19 protocols during eviction proceedings, (b) a housing subcommittee involved in drafting House Bill 4401, the bill that became the 2021 eviction moratorium law, (c) a senate housing subcommittee involved in drafting Senate Bill 282, the bill that extended the 2021 eviction moratorium, (d) a local committee with Representative Pam Marsh designed to determine optimal allocation of rental assistance to local community action agencies and (e) the Advisory Committee on Civil Justice, a joint bench-bar committee providing a forum for stakeholders to identify systemic challenges to the cost effective, timely resolution of civil cases and investigate potential solutions that will benefit courts, lawyers and court users. Michael Stout has also given CLE legal presentations to the Jackson County Bar on landlord/tenant law, as well as to realtor organizations and title companies, and is well known statewide for his expertise in landlord/tenant law, which includes:
